Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time for one of our favorite traditions: dressing up our dogs!

Whether your pup loves wearing a costume or only tolerates it long enough for a photo, there are so many fun ways to get into the Halloween spirit. And if you need a little inspiration, we’ve got you covered. Over the years, our Hike Doggie dogs have dressed up as everything from tacos and teddy bears to cowboys and unicorns!

Here are some of our favorite past costumes, along with a few new ideas to inspire your pup’s Halloween look this year.

Taco Time

Who doesn’t love a taco?

A taco costume is a fun choice for the food-loving pup in your life. Plus, it makes for an adorable photo when your dog is looking like a walking, four-legged fiesta.

Try it yourself: Turn your pup into a full meal with other food-inspired costumes like a hot dog, pizza, cheeseburger, or even a little slice of watermelon.

The King of the Trail

One of our Hike Doggie pups has rocked a classic lion costume, complete with a fluffy mane.

This is a great option for dogs who already think they’re the king or queen of the trail. And if your dog has a big personality to match, even better!

Try it yourself: Other animal-inspired costumes can be just as fun. Think dinosaur, fox, butterfly, or even a little forest creature.

A Little Green Monster

Not every monster has to be scary!

A green monster costume is a silly and simple way to give your pup a spooky Halloween makeover without going full haunted house.

Yeehaw! Cowboy costumes are always a classic.

A little cowboy hat, bandana, or Western-inspired outfit can turn your pup into the cutest sheriff in town. Just make sure anything you add is comfortable and secure before heading out on the trail.

Teddy Bear Cuddles

There’s something extra adorable about a dog dressed as a teddy bear.

This costume is especially perfect for pups who already look like giant stuffed animals. Add some fluffy ears and you’ve got yourself a walking teddy bear!

One of our pups went full magical with a unicorn costume, proving that a little sparkle and imagination can go a long way.

Busy as a Bumble Bee

A little dog + tiny wings + stripes = instant Halloween cuteness.

A bumble bee costume is a classic for a reason, and it’s a great choice for pups who are always buzzing around looking for their next adventure.

Try it yourself: Other tiny critter costumes could include a ladybug, butterfly, firefly, or even a little caterpillar.

Who’s That Chicken?
