Beau

Ruth Reinoso

“Hike Doggie is amazing!!! From day one prior to Beau Louie’s first hike I felt like I made the right choice and that they would take care of him as their own. He’s constantly smiling and is full of excitement on hike days. He patiently waits for his hiker at the door. I love the recap of his adventure along with the pictures, they just bring me so much happiness to see my dog living his best life with people who love their jobs. If Beau Louie could give a rating, I think he would say “a million stars and can I go everyday?”. Seriously the best decision ever made! We also get INCREDIBLE photos – it’s always so clear that Crumpet had a blast and has so much fun with his hiker and furry friends! To top it all off, each day we are sent a fun story giving us a recap of their day. We can’t reccommend Hike Doggie enough! Barrett, the owner, is also so kind and incredibly flexible with our busy schedule. It’s such a relief knowing we have Hike Doggie and that Crumpet is in great hands and having the time of his life while we’re working. Highly recommend Hike Doggie for any dog owner looking for a reliable, fun, and caring service for their pup!”

“Hike Doggie has been a life saver for us! During the busiest times of our lives with kids, work, family, etc. – this company has provided the best reprieve for our one year old high energy Catahoula mix, Markers. He loves being picked up on the bus, enjoys his fellow furry friends on the trail, and gets lots of love and treats from his hikers as the icing on the cake. The communication is superb, the detailed report after each hike is so great to read, and we receive numerous pictures of his proven happiness! He’s also worn out and ready for snuggles when we get home. We highly recommend this service and are thrilled that we found them.”

Clint Reed
Franchise Owners, Front Range South

We are Erin and Clint Reed, the extremely lucky franchisees of Hike Doggie Front Range South.  We met in Sacramento, CA, where we both worked in the hotel industry and enjoyed visiting and playing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  We then moved back to Clint’s home in Anchorage, Alaska, where we partnered in a small business and enjoyed all the state had to offer with our young son and rescue pup, including hiking, camping, and fishing. Once we sold the business Clint started a career as a teacher, teaching 3rd grade and middle school math.

We moved to Colorado from Alaska to be closer to family and have loved the state since we set foot in it.  Our Alaskan rescue pup Belle loves hiking in the foothills and the many parks where she gets to hang out with her friends. Erin continued her hotel career and Clint his teaching career when we moved, teaching 4th grade with wonderful students and families.

We are a family who loves dogs, the outdoors, and hockey, and when we heard about Hike Doggie, we knew it was what we were meant to do.  A life where you get to make dogs as happy as they make us by hiking in the beautiful foothills between Castle Rock and Colorado Springs was something we could not pass up.  We feel so fortunate to be able to give joy to our clients and their humans!

When we are not hiking dogs you will most likely find us at a hockey rink watching our son play, or travelling around the country enjoying many adventures with our family.

We are honored to serve the Front Range South region, and we can’t wait to meet you and your pup.

Fun Fact: I spent a summer in Australia playing rugby during college

All Hike Doggies must meet the following requirements to ensure all our doggies remain safe and have an awesome hike:

  • Be neutered or spayed
  • Be well socialized around other doggies
  • Be non-aggressive or reactive towards: dogs, people, wildlife & other trail users (runners, bikes, etc)
  • Be well mannered while hiking on a leash
  • Be relaxed & calm during the ride to & from the trailhead in their Zen Den (comfortable individual travel space) aboard our Hike Doggie buses
  • Be current on their vaccines (Rabies, Canine Influenza, Distemper, Bordetella, Leptospirosis)
  • Be at least 6 months old or 4 months old if leash trained

If your doggie does not meet these requirements, we recommend neutering/spaying (if you are not planning on breeding your cutie) & do targeted training in any area where he/she may need some help so they can enjoy an enriched lifestyle full of outdoor fun with friends!
