Michelle Bedard
Franchise Owner, Hike Doggie Treasure Valley
I must have been born with a love for animals because I can’t remember a time I didn’t want to be around them. The neighborhood cats found solace in my lap; a stray dog ended up on my porch; my dog caught a lost parakeet; and I grew up with hamsters, fish, and tadpoles that turned into frogs.
As I became a mother, my third son and last child had the same passion for animals as I did. But his love of animals was less on the furry side and more on the amphibian and reptile side which brought me into a whole new world I had yet to experience.
I have fostered and found homes for over 350 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens and have a zoo of my own. From Giant Flemish rabbits and a tank of outdoor goldfish to cats and dogs, I have surrounded myself with unconditional love of the animal species.
My current zoo only includes dogs and cats ,but I always have an opening for any animal that needs a home.
I am excited to bring over 20 years of digital marketing to Hike Doggie, including 8 years of marketing for a doggie daycare.
I just moved to Idaho and build a home while I built a business in marketing, and now I’m a Zee of two territories in Idaho.
I’m so excited to not only be leading Hike Doggie Treasure Valley, but I’m also a happy customer! My dogs went on their first Hike Doggie experience and loved it!
I have four great kids, none of whom share my passion for animals, am a former middle and high school teacher, love digital media marketing, and have surrounded myself with 3 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats. The. name of my LLC is Four Dog Adventures so there will be a fourth dog. In fairness to me, one of my dogs is my son’s. I will care for him while my son is in college.
When I’m not doing animal care or marketing, I’m heavily involved in rescue and working out.
My fun fact: I am deathly afraid of Storm Troopers and broke into a cold sweat when I saw them at a San Jose Shark’s game. I will pass out if they come near me.
