Spread Holiday Cheer — 4th Annual Santa-Paws Shelter Drive

🎄 Hike Doggie’s Holiday Gift to Shelter Pets

It’s time for our 4th annual Santa-Paws Shelter Drive! Every winter, Hike Doggie teams up to support the wonderful animals at Denver Animal Shelter (DAS). We believe every pet deserves love, comfort, and hope especially during the holidays.

❤️ Why Your Donation Matters

Shelter animals rely on community support and generosity. Donations help DAS provide vital care: foster care, emergency and medical pet care, enrichment supplies, toys, comfy blankets, nutritious food, and so much more. With your help, we make shelter life a little brighter and safer for them.

🐶 What We’re Collecting

We welcome donations of:

Dog and cat toys, chew toys, and enrichment items
Blankets, beds, and cozy bedding
Collars, leashes, harnesses
Food (dry & wet), treats
Cleaning supplies, sanitary supplies, pet-safe cleaning products
Any useful pet supplies to improve the care and wellbeing of shelter animals

Every item helps from a simple blanket to a bag of food, each donation plays a role in helping pets in need.

📅 When & How It Works

We’ll handle everything from collecting to delivering, so all donated items will be hand-delivered to Denver Animal Shelter in January.

Ways to help:

Choose items from our Amazon wishlist and ship them to the collection address (listed on Amazon).
Make a monetary donation. Even small amounts make a big difference.
Share the drive with friends, family, and fellow pet lovers in Colorado: help spread the word!

📣 Help Us Reach More People

You can be a hero for shelter pets just by sharing this post. Use tags like #SantaPaws, #HelpShelterPets, #DonateForAnimals, #DenverPets, and #HolidayPetDrive when sharing. Every repost helps more animals get the love they deserve.

🐾 From Our Hearts and Wagging Tails

To all of our supporters, donors, volunteers, and animal lovers, thank you. This drive works because of you. With your kindness and generosity, we’ll make sure the holiday season brings warmth, joy, and hope to pets at Denver Animal Shelter.

Let’s make the 4th Annual Santa-Paws Drive the biggest and most impactful yet. Happy Holidays and wagging tails ahead!

With gratitude,
The Hike Doggie Team

All Hike Doggies must meet the following requirements to ensure all our doggies remain safe and have an awesome hike:

  • Be neutered or spayed
  • Be well socialized around other doggies
  • Be non-aggressive or reactive towards: dogs, people, wildlife & other trail users (runners, bikes, etc)
  • Be well mannered while hiking on a leash
  • Be relaxed & calm during the ride to & from the trailhead in their Zen Den (comfortable individual travel space) aboard our Hike Doggie buses
  • Be current on their vaccines (Rabies, Canine Influenza, Distemper, Bordetella, Leptospirosis)
  • Be at least 6 months old or 4 months old if leash trained

If your doggie does not meet these requirements, we recommend neutering/spaying (if you are not planning on breeding your cutie) & do targeted training in any area where he/she may need some help so they can enjoy an enriched lifestyle full of outdoor fun with friends!
