One of the best parts of what we do isn’t just seeing happy dogs at the end of a hike, it’s hearing about it afterward.
Every photo we send, every wagging tail at drop off, and every sleepy pup curled up for an afternoon nap reminds us why we started Hike Doggie in the first place. We love hearing from our clients, but every once in a while, a review comes along that makes us stop, laugh, and remember exactly why we do what we do.
Recently, we received a review from one of our newest hiking buddies, Gunner.
We expected a nice comment about his hike. Instead, we got a full adventure report from the dog’s point of view. We laughed the whole way through, and by the end, we couldn’t stop smiling.

At Hike Doggie, we have a simple mission: Make dogs as happy as they make us. Everything we do comes back to that idea.
Every trail we choose. Every dog we welcome into the pack. Every game we play, every splash through a creek, every extra minute spent letting a dog investigate a fascinating smell.
We know dogs don’t measure a great day by the number of miles they walked. They measure it by how much fun they had.
Did they get to run? Did they make a new best friend? Did they discover the world’s greatest stick? Did they come home completely content, ready to stretch out on the couch and dream about tomorrow’s adventure?
When we read Gunner’s review, we realized he had answered every one of those questions. His words reminded us that we’re not just taking dogs on hikes. We’re giving them days they’ll never forget.
